11. Preparations and the most irrelevant post ever, but that's Lion [Video/Action for Violet]

[The transmission starts with a little shaking and some purple gooey thing moving all over, before the camera settles. We are currently in the pokémart, and Lion is doing important stuff. And by that I mean shopping. There is also a Lucario with a shopping basket who seems to be carrying some of the groceries too.
A very happy "Ditto!!" comes from behind the camera, and Lion turns to look at it.]

Thank you, Ennis, and good afternoon Johto.

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone who assisted to the Ice Cream party, and also to those who had the thought but couldn't make it. The party wouldn't have been such a success without all of you.
It was the perfect chance to meet new and old acquaintances in person too, so I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.


I know it has been a while since I last spoke to many of you, and I apologize, but I was handling the last preparations for our departure. We are planning to leave for Goldenrod, and for that we'll take the road trough Azalea even if just to see the city.

If things go as planned and if everyone is fine with it, we should be departing next week or the following one, so if anyone is interested in making the same way and do not wish to make it alone, feel free to get in contact with me, I'd be glad to help, and traveling is much easier in groups.

Does anyone have any warnings regarding the road? I'd like to be as prepared as possible.

[For the rest of the day, Lion can be found shopping for supplies for the trip... It's actually a huge amount of supplies, as the group is bound to get kind of big.]

There is a cavern called Union Cave between Violet and Azalea. Be sure to adequately prepare yourself before venturing through it.

I heard about the cave... I'm planning on making a map when I go through, so if you want to I can send you a copy once I'm out of it.

I'm sure you've already been told about the cave at the end of Route 32 - takes about two days to get through, but it's remarkably easy to get lost in.

You might also want to be prepared for the forest directly after Azalea. It's not very difficult to travel, but you're likely to take longer to get through it than you'd first think.

It's a great trip though, and Ilex is just wonderful in summer.

Yes, they mentioned it, but I hadn't heard about how long it could take... I was planning on mapping my trip trough the cave, to avoid getting lost, since we will be a large group.

I was never one for camping before Johto, but it does look like Ilex forest could be a nice place for it.

As to the road, I can personally assure you that Union Cave is very large, and very dangerous. It's prone to cave-ins, and the Zubats are close to plague proportions.

But the trip down to it, and once you're through it is simple enough. Just mind the ledges - they can sneak up on you.
