[Well, this is a face that you haven't seen in a while. Of course as usual, everything looks really nice and pretty in Lion's room... It's worth pointing out that there is a very carefully arranged line of varied pokémon eggs, each covered in a blanket, sitting on the bed.

But that's probably what this is all about.]

Good afternoon! Hopefully everyone has been doing well, I apologize for being so out of touch lately, but the final preparations for the opening of the tea house and a few other things have been keeping me quite busy.

[There is a sigh, and a bit of a chuckle as Lion motions at the pokémon eggs.] Unfortunately, I'd say that far too busy.

These are too many children for me to actually give each the attention they deserve, so I'd be most glad if someone could help me by taking some of them, so they can grow with the proper care. The only thing I request is that we please keep in contact so the children can meet their parents if we happen to be in the same city.

There are two Dratini, two Feebas, two Gible, three Swablu and one Bagon egg. They do have quite a few skills passed down from their parents, and their parents are well behaved and hard working pokémon.

Please just let me know if you are interested.

Maria just wanted to look at them a little, though..

Maria is always really careful, uu-.. Lion trusts Maria, right?

Of course I trust you, I know you'll be careful, so go ahead.

[ can't she just squish them all at once... but yes, she's climing on the bed, carefully sitting next to the eggs and patting them a little.. ]

Uu-, does that mean Lion's the parent of all these eggs..?

[And Lion will get closer, with a smile.]

Well not exactly, since my pokémon team are their real parents... I suppose it would make me something of a grandparent, but that's too complicated.

Lion isn't old enough to be a grandparent, uu-! [ She puffs her cheeks a little at Lion before turning to the eggs again. ]

Then Lion would have to be just as old as grandfather.

I don't think I'm old enough to be a parent either...

So I suppose we can say I'm the person who will take good care of them until they find better homes, how about that?

So Lion is more like an adoptive parent, uu-? That's what they're called, right?

[ Maria knows some things about the world.. ]

Or maybe Lion's like the person who runs a pet shelter, but for eggs!

We could say any of those two...

[Oh well.] Hopefully we will get homes for all of them soon.

Maria wants to make sure they go to good homes too, uu-! If their new owner is being bad, Maria will get re-ally mad at them!

If we find that, we can go and get the children back... Though I'll do my best to pick people who will really care for them.

Don't worry, Maria will go and get them back in that case..!

Maria's going to become a real witch, so she'll curse the bad people, all of them, uu-uu-!

You are really kind, Maria... Though before cursing anyone, you should make really sure that they are a bad person.

Sometimes, good people do bad things, but it doesn't mean they are actually bad.

[ For a moment she just.. blinks curiously. ]

Uu-, good people do bad things..? What does Lion mean?

Some people sometimes do mean things when they try to protect someone... And other people just can't think of other ways to act.

What I mean is that it's always really important to find out why someone did something, and not just how they did it.

Why they did it..? So it's important to look at [ THE HEART1!!111 ] the reason behind the bad thing they did instead of the bad thing itself, uu-..?

It's important to look at both things. It's not fair to look at just one, don't you think? People should be very careful when judging others...

For example, let's imagine that you are taking care of the eggs while I'm outside doing an errand, and suddenly one is about to fall from the bed, and when you go to save it you break the glass in the night table.

Now, If I come in and see the broken glass, I'd probably be disappointed that you weren't careful with it... But if I asked you and you told me it happened when you tried to save the egg, then I wouldn't feel like that, because it happened for a good reason.

It's important to always try to find all the information before deciding if someone is a good or a bad person, don't you think so?

[ Oh, Maria likes storytime, so she just listens obediently, nodding to herself the entire time.. ]

Uu-. Maria gets it. You can't say a bad person is a bad person until you know if they don't have good reasons behind what they did..!

That's correct. It's really important to know the reasons behind people's actions to know if they are really bad.

Lion is the smartest person in a-ll of Johto for sure, Maria's sure of it!

I don't know about that, but what I know for sure is that you are a great learner and a very kind girl.
