09. Tea. Tea. Tea. [Video/Action for Violet] Backdated to before the Ushiromiya flood (aka Sunday).

[Today, we open the video feed to see this: :). Yes, that's a ditto.

After a moment the Ditto moves away, to let the rest of the scene be seen. Lion is sitting under a tree's shade right at the beginning of Route 32. Violet City can be seen close by, so it's clear there is still no intention at all of leaving town. Surprising pretty much nobody.
Sitting on Lion's right side and with several implements for preparing tea, we have a very very focused Riolu. We also have a small fire, and a teapot.
And in the background, attempting to dig a hole, there is a Gible, who doesn't notice a thing about this video feed. There is also a Houndoom running around the woods (which explains the fire), but that one cannot be seen in the video feed.]

Good afternoon, Johto.

When I was in Cherrygrove, I had the good fortune of trying some teas that I hadn't ever tried before. I suppose it's only natural that a different world than my own would also have new and different plants and blends.

[At that, Alyssa the Riolu gets up, running to check on the water being boiled.]

I must admit that I have been a bit selfish. But with all the comments about strange vivid dreams, and all the ominous signals of something big coming to us soon, I though that maybe I could share my little secret with everyone.

I have been reading about the herbs used for tea since I arrived to Violet, and I found that one of them is particularly good as a relaxant, and can help people who have trouble falling asleep or who have nightmares.
There seem to be no secondary effects either, so there won't be chances of suddenly falling asleep during work or training.

If anyone is interested in finding about it, I won't mind to share the information I have, just let me know.

[There is a pause here before Lion resumes the talking, this time with a much more serious expression.]

I would like to also ask everyone to be very careful in the next few days, and if possible to avoid being alone or in the roads. I know those who have been here for longer won't have any trouble recognizing the signals, but I wouldn't like the newer people to end up getting in trouble because of this.

Also, if anyone has any information, I would be really thankful if it could be shared with everyone.

[And now, another smile and a polite nod of the head.] And that should be everything. I hope everyone is doing well, even if the heat may be a little too much.

[Private to Will.]

I remember I promised you to have cake and relax for a day once I returned to Violet.

I already ordered the cake, so once you have free time feel free to pick it up, tea will be ready for whenever you arrive.

[/Private to Will.]

Mm, not precisely. It's not something you'd really have control over.

Exactly~ Plus, the towns and such are different in the games, so it's not as if you'd know everything.

Generally towns in games consist of just the buildings you need to explore for gameplay purposes, plus maybe a few extra for atmosphere. Definitely not as big, no.

The distance between towns is much shorter, too. Traveling here is quite difficult in comparison.

I've always thought that was one of the most interesting parts about them.

Ah, I see~ School textbooks can admittedly be quite interesting sometimes, depending on the subject matter.

Very much so, yes~ Though I mostly read novels.

...Romance novels, generally.

Which genre do you prefer, then?

Hmm, fantasy I'm not very familiar with, but I have read a few mystery novels. They're quite interesting.

Your cousin had it right, I think~ It's much more fun that way.

Oh? You've encountered someone else who likes them?
