Good morning everyone. Hopefully everyone is also having a good day today.

Right now I'm back on Route 31, I'm going back a little to meet with someone from my world, but I should be back in Violet in a few days. [Lion did leave letters for Will and the most moe of the Beatos (and there is also a brb letter for Maria which I forgot but Lion wouldn't have), but well, letters are not the best communication method ever so have an extra message guys xD]

We decided to stop a bit, so that Seth could take a rest, he has been working very hard so we can get to our destination as fast as possible. [The pokégear now moves to show a Houndoom, having the best nap in the land of ever (with running in dreams and all the works!). It then moves to show the road.]
This is a nice place to see, now that there are no bug swarms all over; hopefully it will be a nice calm trip, unlike the last one. [Ooooh, you just jinxed it, Lion xD]

I also have a question.

I have been thinking of challenging some of the gyms. The rewards seem good enough, and I'm sure that the skills that can be obtained there would be a good addition to my plans for breeding pokémon.
Do you know which gyms have the most interesting rewards? Both learning and material rewards are good enough, I was just curious to know the opinions of others.

A bit of conversation would also be appreciated, it's been a while since I last was alone on the road.

I spent months in Cherrygrove before moving on to Violet, it is a nice town, very cozy and you always see new faces.

I'm not planning on leaving Violet for a while, so we can still meet when you reach it. Do you enjoy tea?

In that case, perhaps I too will spend a bit of time here as well. It does not seem like there is a lack of things to do.

As for tea... Yes, I am partial to it. That will be something to look forward to then.

It's a good place to build a base for your team. The streams have surprisingly strong pokémon to fight, the lodging is inexpensive and the payments are good.

Then I will treat you for some tea when you get to Violet. There are some wonderful blends here.

Excellent. I will ready myself a proper team and set of supplies before continuing on my way then.

Teas of another world. I'm most curious as to what they will taste like. What are some of the varieties offered, if you do not mind me asking?

Most of them are surprisingly like the ones I used to drink back home. There are the plain ones like green tea, red or black...

There are also many with other flavors, like darjeeling or ceylon... In Cherrygrove I tried a blend with orange and cinnamon that was heavenly. I truly recommend it.

Then there were many breakfast and afternoon variations... Of course they had names like Kanto Breakfast tea, or Johto Afternoon tea but that's not surprising.

[Cid chuckles.]

I am afraid I do not recognize any of these names. I suppose I will have to sample them myself and see if they are similar to anything I have had in the past. Though, I suppose this is only to be expected.

It only makes sense considering how Johto loves bringing people from all kinds of worlds.

I've heard of a few worlds with things that are much alike to the ones here but with different names and histories. It would be fascinating to find if any of those teas are like the ones in your world.

It would, wouldn't it? A world that shares no history or likeness to my own having tastes similar.

There is, however, one thing I have noticed: the tastes of this world are stronger than those I am used to at home.

I hadn't heard about something like that before... Is there much difference or just a little?

Enough to be noticeable but not enough to be off-putting.

Perhaps the dishes I'm accustomed to are more... bland, considering their origins.

Our consumables are not grown--they are created.

Perfect in appearance they may be, but there is something lacking about them once you've tried the foods of other places.

That makes sense... Then you should make sure of trying as many things as you can while you are still here, mister Raines.

I hope to do so, with that tea you mentioned at the top of my list.

I'm sure you will really enjoy the teas here, they are very rich in flavor, and there is much variety...

I can also recommend you a few wonderful places to dine in Cherrygrove.

If you have any suggestions, I will gladly take them.

It's not too big, but all the food is homemade and done with much care.
