21. It only happens once a year. [Video/Action for Goldenrod]

[The transmission opens to show Lion, sitting in the outskirts of Goldenrod. In the background we can see a Dragonite (wearing a red ribbon), a Salamence, a Milotic and an Altaria playing around (in varying degrees of "playing nice"), a Lucario is sitting to Lion's right, and a not-suspicious-at-all book on the left.

If the book moves, well that's totally normal. It's just a book. Yep.]

Today it marks two years since I arrived here.

If I look back, I don't think I could've imagined spending this long here, and even less all the things that I've seen and done, or the people I have met.

[There is a thoughtful pause, before Lion smiles once more.]

To celebrate, I have a small question for everyone. It's an easy one, I'm sure almost everyone must have an answer.

What makes you feel happy?

Small things or larger ones, it doesn't matter... Let's talk about the things we enjoy or love.

When my captain would read to me in the evenings, before I appeared here.

[He definitely sounds wistful about that. He misses Laurence more than anything else, even flying.]

But here, it makes me happy to be able to walk in the towns and see everything without anybody getting upset or running away.

I love reading myself... What kind of reading was your favorite?

[Lion takes a moment to think about that second part, and then nods.]

There must be a lot for you to see, I'm sure... You should make the most out of it while you find a way back.

Books about mathematics and battles were the most interesting kind, although my very favorite was Newton's Principia Mathematica. I have not managed to find a copy here yet, but it has been very nice to be able to turn the pages and read what books I have found on my own.

[He smiles a little. He's determined that he's going to put a brave face on all this while he's here.]

I will, I feel as though I have learned a great deal already. But you must have learned much more, having been here so long.

I must say that I haven't really looked at the mathematics sections in the libraries I've been to, but if I catch sight of that book, I'll let you know.

I've mostly read books about pokémon and legends since arriving here, in order to familiarize myself with this world.

Being here for this long really helped me get used to how things are around. This place is quite different to my own world, too, even if some things are similar.

There were no pokémon back at home to begin with... We only had animals, and most of them weren't as smart, or those that were did not communicate with humans that much.

I don't think there were many supernatural creatures in the open either, those things were quite well hidden.

I am not sure there are any supernatural creatures in my world, but people believe in them.

Ghosts and witches, things like that...

I wasn't sure if there were any in my world until a little before coming here. There were many believers, however, so in that point our worlds are alike.
