Ah! Did you just see that??

[Giselle, Lion’s dratini who has previously been seen slapping skarmories and being quite pretty, is currently shining a whole lot. The shining figure eventually grows larger until it becomes a pretty spiffy Dragonair.]

She finally evolved. [Lion gets closer to Giselle, to pet her head. She appears to be both very proud... And very in the need of showing off. So she goes to Beatrice after that, to get some more petting.]

She’s so beautiful... hello Giselle...

[Giselle goes around a little more ~~bragging~~ ~~showing off~~ to let everyone see the changes, before stopping and poking at her now quite short ribbon with her tail.]

And there she is, asking for a new ribbon. [Sigh, sigh forever.]

So this is evolution... Lion, is Darjeeling going to change like Giselle?

That is correct. Houndour evolves into Houndoom... But not all pokémon evolve, it depends on the species, their own willingness and growth.

I see, I see... did you hear, Darjeeling? We need to work hard!

This transmission has changed the topic completely... [Chuckle.] I suppose this will be good enough. We are in Route 29 almost reaching Cherrygrove. From there we will move on to Violet.

It won’t take us long to reach the next town! I can’t wait to see it!

I prefer to settle for fishing in the more shallow waters, and Tentacruel are usually much deeper, so fortunately I haven't seen them yet.

That's... probably for the best! If you pulled one out and you couldn't take it down, it would definitely go a little crazy on you...

That is why I prefer to work on waters that are deep but not too deep. It would be terrible if I pulled a pokémon that my team cannot defeat.

Well, it's not as if you can pull up anything too strong with the rods they sell way back there...

That is true. These rods can't even reach the waters where the really strong ones are.

Which is much safer, I must say.

Not to mention they break really easy... I wouldn't be surprised if your arms are a long stronger from pulling so many fish out to battle...

I have gone trough quite a big number of rods.... The good part is that they are very cheap, so I haven't had trouble in buying more.

I used to exercise quite a bit back home, so it is not that new, but I have to admit that my pokémon and Will have helped with most of the pulling... And I also have Giselle, she usually helps by telling us where to fish or even luring some wild pokémon.

... I didn't take you as the type to get really into fishing, Lion-san.

I will gladly learn about anything that will help me improve at the things I do.

I will probably quit fishing soon, if it helps any.

I don't think I will have many nice fishing spots after I leave Cherrygrove for good... Even more if I plan on staying in Violet for a while, the library should keep me busy enough there.

Maybe after moving on a little I can buy a decent rod and go fishing for nostalgia's sake?
